Words are powerful, but sometimes get in the way….
Your brain doesn’t seem to work the way everyone else’s does. It may seem that everyone else has it figured out: life comes easy to them, they have self control, seem happy — somehow you feel broken, those things don’t seem to work the same for you.
When you learn how to tune in to yourself and your feelings, you can begin to connect to your strengths and resources, and discover that you’re more resilient.
In therapy, we engage our creative minds to uncover the parts of you that may be harder to access or express with words alone. We’ll slow down and listen to your brain. We’ll make sense of the world from within your mind.
I’m Al Hoberman, LCAT, a licensed creative arts therapist and board certified music therapist with extensive experience working with both children and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, toxic stress, and the ongoing effects of trauma.
I’m currently accepting new online clients in New York State and other select areas around the world. Contact me to see if I’m able to work with you where you live. You can read more about my background here.
